Abstract

The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Virtual Think Tank Summit was hosted by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) on Friday, December 11, 2020. Think Tanks from all over the MENA region discussed the COVID-19 pandemic and how it changed different socio-political and economic regional dimensions. Panelists discussed how certain areas, such as active war zones, have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic, as well as recommendations on how to adapt to the transformed layout of the region. Finally, panelists also discussed the role of G-20 countries and T-20 think tanks in alleviating the regional and global repercussions of the pandemic.
