The numbering of books corresponding to subjects is frequently in error, and the manuscript was probably compiled for personal use by the notary Contarini (or Conticini). Subjects include loans, sale contracts, dowries, wills, confessions, and evidence. Deeds added at the end (f. 37v-40v) may be in multiple hands.
