The lessons and responses in the Office of the Dead seem to be related to those used in a small group of manuscripts from the Diocese of Cologne, and the arrangement of the psalms for the Divine Office in the ferial psalter suggest that this manuscript was made for use by secular priests, such as members of a cathedral chapter, or Premonstratensian or Augustinian Canons (Les Enluminures).
